PAN AND ZOOM WITHOUT PAUSING VIDEO

Vidorec’s signature feature lets you zoom video while it is playing. Use pinch to zoom while keeping the focal point in place, pan across the enlarged picture and inspect details without pausing playback. Precision video zoom, bounded pan, fit to screen, fill screen and one-action reset to 1x keep the picture under your control. Accessible button and slider alternatives are available when touch gestures are not convenient.

SMOOTH HD AND 4K PLAYBACK

Open MP4, MKV, WebM and other supported local media files without an internet connection. Vidorec evaluates the container, codec, resolution and hardware decoder capabilities of your device to select an appropriate playback path. Hardware acceleration is used when available for H.264, H.265 HEVC, VP9 and AV1 video. HD, Full HD, high-resolution video, 4K UHD and HDR playback depend on the actual device, display and media combination. When a format, codec or feature is unsupported, Vidorec explains the reason instead of hiding it behind a generic error.

SUBTITLES AND MULTIPLE AUDIO TRACKS

Choose embedded or external subtitles and use SRT plus supported WebVTT VTT subtitle files. Correct timing with subtitle sync and subtitle delay controls, then adjust subtitle size, color, style, contrast and background for comfortable reading. The subtitle player is designed to handle right-to-left languages, multiline text and large font sizes without losing readability. For videos with multiple audio tracks, switch the audio language or audio track without rebuilding the playback session.

PIP, BACKGROUND PLAYBACK AND SYSTEM CONTROLS

Use Picture in Picture PiP to turn Vidorec into a floating video player or mini video player. The same playback session is preserved when you open another app, move playback to the background or turn off the screen on supported devices. Lock screen controls, notification controls, headset buttons and Bluetooth media controls all manage the same video. When you return to the app, playback resumes from the last position instead of starting over.

Vidorec is not a video downloader or a streaming content catalog. It plays your own local videos and personal media files on your device. Media names, file paths, video content and subtitle text are not added to analytics by default. The app scans only locations you grant access to and does not place ads on the playback surface.
